A native of Grandin, Fla., Mrs. Williams owned Peggy's Beauty Shop in Five Points for more than 30 years and was a charter member of Green Acres Baptist Church, Athens. Born in Hart Co. Ga., he was the son of the late William Butler Morris and Nancy Crawford Morris. He was a graduate of the University of Georgia with a BS in Business Administration. He was the retired founder and operator of the Frank D. Morris Insurance Agency, which he operated for 33 years. He was a member of the Hartwell First Presbyterian Church, where he was an Elder and former Sunday School teacher. He was a former member of the Board of Directors of the Bank of Hartwell, Past President and former member of the Board of Directors of the Hart Co. Chamber of Commerce, Past Commander of the Hartwell VFW, Past Senior Vice-commander of the Hartwell American Legion, Past President of the Hartwell Kiwanis Club and a Past President of the Hartwell Golf Club. During his Insurance career he received the Georgia Association of Independent Insurance Agents Presidents Citation, he was a Past State Director of the Georgia Association of Independent Insurance Agents and was a Past Member of the Travelers Insurance Company's National Agency Advisory Council.
