A native of Franklin County, Mr. Busby was a son of the late Louisa Busby of Lavonia and the late Johnny Busby, was the widower of Betty Brown Busby, and was preceded in death by a daughter, Peggy McGaha. He was a Korean War army veteran and was employed as a body and fender repairman in the automobile industry. He was a member of Double Branches Baptist Church. Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Pruitt Funeral Home, Royston, with the Revs. David Wilson and Leon Carson officiating. Burial will be in Franklin Memorial Gardens, South. A native of Fulton County, Mr. Erickson was the widower of Juanita Spain Matthews. He was a longtime resident of Atlanta and a five-year resident of Martin. He was a retired postal clerk and was active in the Cobb County and Toccoa Little Leagues. He was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church. Services will be at 3 p.m. today at Acree-Davis Funeral Home, Toccoa, with the Rev. Johnny Thomas officiating. Burial will be in Rose Lane Cemetery. OBITUARIES Story last updated at 9:37 p.m. on Saturday, March 17, 2001 Glenn Hughes Disco singer Associated Press NEW YORK -- Glenn Hughes, a singer who performed as the mustachioed, leather-clad biker in the disco band the Village People, died March 4 of lung cancer. He was 50. Hughes was one of six men who formed the Village People, a disco group that capitalized on fetishized images of the American male popular in New York's gay nightclubs. Although disco fell out of fashion in the 1980s, Hughes stayed with the band until 1996, when he left to sing in Manhattan cabarets. The band released its first single, ''San Francisco (You've Got Me),'' in 1977. It followed the next year with its first hit, ''Macho Man.'' The band then produced a string of hits, including ''Y.M.C.A.,'' ''In the Navy'' and ''Go West.''
