Lovell Toccoa Dalton L. ''D.L.'' Lovell, 82, of 911 Big A Road, died Saturday, April 21, 2001. A native of Rabun County, Mr. Lovell was the son of the late Jerry A. and Nettie Gipson Lovell. He was a life-long resident of Stephens County, attended Toccoa Falls College and was retired from WABCO after 43 years of service. He was a former member of Toccoa Lions Club and was a former Sunday School superintendent. He attended Toccoa First United Methodist Church where he served on the Building and Grounds Committee and the Administrative Board. Services will be at 3 p.m. Tuesday at Acree-Davis Funeral Home with the Revs. Jim Bocian and Jack Lamb officiating. Burial will be in Stephens Memorial Gardens. Survivors include his wife, Byree Martin Lovell; a daughter, Kay Turpin; and a granddaughter, Elizabeth Turpin. Pallbearers will be Earnest Lovell, Mike Davis, Traywick Till, J.C. Fricks, Bill James, Eddie Martin, Clyde Cash and Keller Cheek. The family is at the residence and will receive friends from 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. today at the funeral home. A native of Baraboo, Wis. Mr. Nicholson was a son of the late Bernard Nicholson and the late Alice Lundy. He was a navy veteran and was a retired Baptist Minister with 30 years of service. He was a member of Bethesda Baptist Church. Services will be at 3 p.m. Tuesday at Bethesda Baptist Church with the Rev. Jim Olds officiating. The body will be placed in the church at 2 p.m. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Survivors include his wife, Kay Van Kirk Nicholson; two daughters, Danille Espy, Pensacola, Fla., and Susan Nichols, Greensboro; three sons, Brad Nicholson, Augusta, Eric Nicholson, Washington, and Phillip Nicholson, Union Point; two brothers, Bernard Nicholson, Lincolnton, and Robert Nicholson, Modesto, Calif.; and nine grandchildren.
