A native of Madras State South India, Dr. Alexander was a son of the late Victor and Rajammal Manuel. He received his BS Degree from Madras University in India and his MD Degree from Stanley Medical College, Madras State South India. He was a member of the Fellowship of Royal College of Surgeons, Association of Karla Medical graduates, Georgia Association of Physicians from India, Board of Directors of R.S.D. Society, American Medical Association, Commerce Lions Club. He practiced in England from 1967 to 1977, and from 1977 to the present he was an orthopedic surgeon in Commerce at Banks, Jackson County Hospital specializing in arthroscopy surgery. He maintained courtesy privileges at Emory Hospital in Atlanta and at Athens Regional Medical Center. He was a member of Emmanuel Episcopal church of Athens and the Mar-Thoma Church of Atlanta. Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Emmanuel Episcopal church with the Right Rev. Dr. Zacharias Mar Theophilus, Bishop of North American Dioceses of Mar-Thoma Church and the Revs. Peter Courtney, and Mandy Brady officiating. Burial will follow in Evergreen Memorial Park Cemetery. Survivors include his wife, Susan Mathew Alexander, MD; two sons, Sunil Manuel Alexander nad Suresh Mathew Alexander, both of Athens; a stepmother, M.M.
