A native of Stephens County, Mrs. Power was the daughter of the late James B. and Effie Norton Rickman, and was the widow of Charlie J. Power. She lived her entire life in Stephens County, where she was a member of Ebenezer Baptist Church, the Dorcas Sunday School class and a charter member of the 220 Club at Ebenezer. Services will be at 3 p.m. Friday at Ebenezer Baptist Church with the Revs. Jerry Stowe and Jack Sosby officiating. The body will be placed in the church at 2:30 p.m. Burial will be in Stephens Memorial Gardens. Survivors include a daughter, K. Irene Power, Sarasota, Fla., a son, James C. A native of Madras State, South India, Dr. Alexander was a son of the late Dr. Victor and Rajammal Manuel. He received his BS Degree from Madras University in India and his MD Degree from Stanley Medical College in 1958, Madras State, South India. He was a fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons, a member of the Association of Kerala Medical Graduates, Georgia Association of Physicians from India, Board of Directors of R.S.D. Society, American Medical Association, and Commerce Lions Club. He practiced in England from 1968-1977, and from 1979 to the present he was an Orthopedic Surgeon at Banks Jackson, Commerce Hospital specializing in Arthroscopic surgery. He maintained courtesy privileges at Emory Hospital in Atlanta and at Athens Regional Medical Center. He was a member of Emmanuel Episcopal Church of Athens and Mar-Thoma Church of Atlanta.
