A native of Hall County, Mr. Reed was a son of Robert and Joyce Reed, Baldwin. He was a graduate of Georgia Tech with a bachelor's degree in management and was a poultry supervisor. He was a member of Clarkesville Baptist Church. Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Whitfield Funeral Home, North, Demorest, with the Rev. David Turner officiating. Survivors in addition to his parents include his wife, Kelly Jones Reed; a sister, Jackie Reed, Corona Del Mar, Calif.; a brother, Robbie Reed, Cornelia; grandmothers, Irene Allison and Irene Reed, both of Oakwood; nieces and a nephew. He was a graduate of Texas Tech with a degree in civil engineering, was a World War army veteran and was retired from the Georgia DOT. He was a member of the Georgia Engineer Association and the Lions Club, and attended Ebenezer Baptist Church where he was a deacon and past church treasurer. A native of Taylor County, Mr. McCants was a son of the late Rantz McCants and the late Mattie Anthony, and was the widower of Polly Corine Watson McCants. He was a U.S. Army veteran and was founder of the Clarke County Milling Company. He was a member of Gideons International and the Classic City Lions Club, and attended Tuckston United Methodist Church. Services will be at 4 p.m. today at Tuckston United Methodist Church with the Revs. Lee McNeil and James Sanders and Dr. Doug Thrasher officiating. The body will be placed in the church at 3:30 p.m. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Survivors include his wife, Imogene McCants; a daughter, Nancy McCants, Athens; a son, Walter M. He was a World War II army veteran who received the Asiatic Pacific Service Medal with four bronze stars, the American Service Medal, the Philippina Liberation Ribbon and the World War II Victory Medal. He was the last surviving member of his immediate family and was a member of Cedar Spring Baptist Church. Services will be at 1 p.m. Monday at Cedar Spring Baptist Church, Hartwell, with the Rev. R.
