OBITUARY OF EMILY CONSTANCE WAFF BAILEY

Rites Set Today
For Mrs. Bailey

Funeral services will be held at 2 pm today in First Baptist Church for Mrs. 
Emily Constance Waff Bailey, who died in a local hospital Friday.  She was 74. 

Dr. H. P. Giddens, pastor of First Baptist, will officiate at the services 
assisted by Dr. Alvin Brackett, pastor of Ingleside Baptist Church, Macon. 

Pall-bearers will be Dal Baker, North Goodwin, Bill Davidson, Charlie Morris, 
Charlie Williams, Huffein Moody, Davis Adams, and Walker Benson, and honorary 
pall-bearers will be Broadus Coile, Dr. E. L. Hill, E. R. Hodgeson Jr., Harry 
Hodgson, F. E. McHugh, R. L. McWhorter, Merritt Pound, E. S. Sell, Dr. Bolling 
Dubose, Tryson Huggins, Tom Gerdine, Dr. Harry Talmadge, B. C. Kinney, and W. 
S. Beckwith

Interment will be in Riverside Cemetery, Macon, Sunday at 5:30 p.m., Bernstein 
Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. 

Mrs. Bailey was the wife of the late James Weeks Bailey, and lived at 160 King 
Avenue.  She had been a resident of Athens for many years. 

Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. B. Sanders Walker, Macon; a granddaughter, 
Mrs. William Baynard Harper, Fort Rucker, Ala; a grandson, B. Sanders, Walker 
V., Macon; a sister, Mrs. R. T. Staples, Marion, N.C.; two nieces, Mrs. 
Virginia Blanton, Marion, N. C., and Mrs. William Coupland, Norfolk, Va., and 
two nephews, Raymond Staples, Chapel Hill, N. C. and Howard Waff, Carey, N. C.
