FRED N. BAIN Remains were Interred In Oconee Cemetery Yesterday Morning Yesterday morning at eleven o’clock at the First Methodist church was held the funeral of Mr. F. N Bain who died in Augusta early Tuesday morning. At that hour quite a number of the friends o the deceased gathered to pay tribute to his memory and the floral offerings, attesting the high esteem in which he was held, were many and beautiful. The casket was born to the chancel by the pallbearers, Messrs. J A Vance, Rufus Burch, J. W. McElhannon, Cliff Lowe, W H Mines, G T Wingfield, Will Collins and I A Bradberry, as the choir, consisting of Mrs. J W Barnett, Miss Jessie Jackson, Miss Kate Holliday, Messrs Andley Morton and Jack Hart, sang sweetly the hymn “Asleep in Jesus.” Rev W C Crawley read the 90th Psalm and a portion of the 15th chapter of First Corinthians as the Scripture lessons, after which Miss Jackson sang “Jesus is Tenderly Calling me Home.” After prayer by Mr. Crawley the choir sang as the recessional hymn “I would not Live Always,” and the casket was born to the hearse. At the gave in Oconee cemetery the services were concluded and the remains of Mr. Bain laid to rest.
