J. H. BONE Found Dead Back 
Denmark Hall on the Campus 

(From Wednesday’s Banner) 

Yesterday about 1 o’clock three students of the University of Georgia 
returning to Denmark dining hall from the Agricultural College building found 
Mr. J. N> Bone lying in the path in the edge of the wooded tract which lies 
south of the Denmark hall property – dead. 

They summoned officers and a coroner’s inquest was held determining that the 
death of the man was due to natural causes. He was evidently on his way to 
work and was seized with a sudden  attack which resulted in his death. He had 
visited a daughter about noon and did not complain of feeling ill.  He was on 
the street near the place of business of a son-in-law about 11 o’clock and was 
in usual health. 

The body was taken to Bernstein Brothers’ undertaking establishment and 
prepared for burial.  The funeral will be conducted from his residence on 
Baldwin street – not far from the spot where his body was found – this 
afternoon at 4 o’clock, Rev. E. W. Jones, pastor of the Oconee street 
Methodist church to conduct the services. The interment will be in Oconee 
cemetery. 

The deceased was 59 years of age.  He is  survived by three daughters, Mrs. O. 
W.  Prather,  and  Mrs. J.  W. Deadwyler of this city and Mrs. Otto Bosner of 
Porterdale.  He was a painter by trade, a good workman, honest and industrious 
and had many friends.
