H. S. BOND The Banner, Athens, Georgia, Friday morning, April 27, 1906 Transcribed by Connie Epps Bond October 3, 2005 I typed this as it read and it is messed up. As one can see. THE DEATH OF MR. H. S. BOND Well Known Citizen Died Yesterday afternoon after Brief Illness Yesterday afternoon at half past five Ed F. Bond, on Barber Street, Mr. H. o’clock at the residence of his son, Mr. S. Bond passed away after an illness of three weeks with pneumonia. Mr. Bond was nearly seventy years of age at the time of his death. He had lived in this county for several years and had many friends who will deeply mourn his death. He is survived by his wife and children Messrs. Ed F. bond, Mathew Bond and Emmet Bond of this city and county, Mrs. J. R. Hodges, Mrs. J. E. Cobb and Mrs. Joe Fowler. Mr. Bond was a Confederate veteran and his remains will be laid to rest on the Confederate Memorial Day. He was a constant member of the Methodist church and died triumphant in the faith.
