Virginia Wood Bowden, Athens, died Saturday, November 20, 2004.
A native of Madison County, she was the daughter of the late Quincy A. and 
Mary Brown Wood. She was a long time resident of Athens. Mrs. Bowden was 
preceded in death by her husband, Sidney H. Bowden and a sister, Maxine Grage.

Survivors include sons and daughters-in-law, Tommy and Lynn Bowden and Bobby 
and Marilyn Bowden, all of Athens; sister and brothers-in-law, Marie and Ed 
Fisher, Snellville and Walter Grage, Stone Mountain; numerous nieces and 
nephews.

Funeral services were held Monday, November 22, at Bernstein Funeral Home 
Chapel with the Rev. Patrick Chandler officiating. Burial was in the Evergreen 
Memorial Park.

Memorials may be made to First Christian Church, Athens, or to a charity of 
your choice.

Bernstein Funeral Home, Athens, was in charge of arrangements.
