Laura Mae Conwell Bradshaw, 78, of Athens, died Monday, November 22, 2004.

A native of Madison County, she was the daughter of the late Charlie and 
Salley Echols Crowe. She was a seamstress for Blue Bell Sewing Plant, a former 
member of Meadow Baptist Church and currently had been a member of Oconee 
Heights Baptist Church. Mrs. Bradshaw was preceded in death by her first 
husband, Dallas Conwell, and her second husband, Robert Bradshaw, a son, 
Wesley Conwell, four brothers, Crawford, Henry, George and Robert Crowe, and 
four sisters, Lucy Adams, Mary Patton, Edna Patton and Cornelia Pass.

Survivors include a daughter, Linda Marks, Athens; two sons, James Conwell, 
Nicholson and Dennis Conwell, Ila; a brother, the Rev. William Crowe, 
Gainesville; eight grandchildren; six step-grandchildren; 11 great-
grandchildren; four step-great-grandchildren; and three great-great-
grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, November 24, at 3 p.m. in the chapel 
of Brown Funeral Home with the Revs. Tommy Cowart, Chris Camdon, and Terry 
Stutes officiating. Burial will be in the Meadow Cemetery. Pallbearers will be 
Kevin Conwell, Shawn Conwell, Ben Nunley, Cory Coile, Robert Abbott and John 
Kinman.

Visitation will be at the funeral home Tuesday, November 23, from 6 to 9 p.m.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to St. Mary’s Hospice, P.O. Box 6588, 
Athens, Ga. 306045.

Brown Funeral Home, Danielsville, is in charge of arrangements.
