OBITUARY OF BERTRUDE BURPEE

THE DEATH OF 
       A LITTLE GIRL 

Gertrude Burpee Died 
Yesterday at home of her 
Parents in Athens

Yesterday morning the death of little Gertrude Burpee, aged nine months, 
occurred at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Robert A. Burpee, on River 
Street.  The little girl had been ill for the past eight weeks and her death 
was not unexpected. 

In this hour of deep grief, the sympathies of many friends are extended to the 
bereaved parents who have lost the idol of their hearts. 

The funeral of the little girl will be held this morning at half past nine 
o’clock at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Burpee and the remains will be interred in 
Oconee cemetery.
