Cape, well known Winterville resident, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. M.A. Tucker, Monday night at 10:30 o'clock. Mrs. Cape was 81 years old and had been ill for several weeks. Services will be held Wednesday afternoon at 4:30 o'clock from Winterville Baptist Church with the pastore, Rev. Tommie Jones, and Rev. Marion Sherrill, pastor of Winterville Methodist Church, officiating. Interment will follow in Winterville Cemetery, Bridges Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Pall-bearers will be Pope Spratlin, Spurgeon Coile, Hugh Towns, T.E. Erwin, Warren Bullock and J.F. Jacobs. An honorary escort will include memebers of the T.E.L. Sunday School Class of Winterville Baptist Church. The body will lie in state in the church for thirty minutes prior to the services. She is survived by her daughter, Mrs. Tucker, two daughters-in-law, Mrs. Maude Cape and Mrs. Curtis Cape, both of Winterville, ten grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was a native of Hall County, Ga., and had been a resident of Winterville for the past forty years, where she was a member of the Baptist Church.
