S. Cheatham Died Last Sunday Funeral Services To Be Held This Morning at Boggs' Chapel Near This City Mr. E. S. Cheatham, a well known and highly esteemed citizen of this city, died at his home on Park avenue at 11:40 o'clock Sunday night after an illness of considerable duration. The funeral and burial will occur today at 11 o'clock, a. m., at Boggs' chapel about five miles from this city. The services will be conducted by Rev. Dr. M. A. Jenkins, pastor of the First Baptist church of Athens. Mr. Cheatham is survived by his wife, and by one brother, Mr. C. D. Cheatham, of Atlanta. He was a prominent member of the Masonic and the Odd Fellows fraternities and was a valued member-carrying out in his life the splendid tenets which the rituals of these orders teach. The following are requested to act as pall bearers today at his funeral: Messrs. C. J. Kenney, M. D. Browning, S. G. McDaniel, D. B. Fowler, Robert Iverson, Jr. and L. F. Prater.
