CONOLLY RITES 
THIS AFTERNOON

Funeral services for Dr. Marion W Conolly, who died unexpectedly in Hernando 
County Hospital, Brooksville, Florida, Thursday afternoon, will be conducted 
from Bernstein’s Chapel this afternoon at 3 o’clock, Dr. M P Giddens, pastor 
of First Baptist Church officiating. 

Interment will be in Oconee Hill Cemetery, Bernstein’s Funeral Home in charge 
of arrangements.  Charles Thornton, Grady Henson, Julian Cox, Charles Parrott, 
John Mon and Everett Patnian will serve as pallbearers. 

An honorary escort will include J C Johnson, Billy Epps, Henry Rosenthal, Jake 
Bernstein, David Michael, Judge Ted Middlebrooks, Dr. John Hunnicutt, Frank 
McElreath, and members of the Kiwanis Club. 

Mr. Conolly is survived by his wife, Mrs. Flo Conolly, Athens; mother, Mrs. 
Warren J Conolly, sr, Athens; one daughter, Mrs. Edith Dillard, Atlanta; one 
son, Marion W Conolly, jr, Cartersville, Ill, granddaughter, John Dillard, 
Atlanta; three brothers, Paul H Conolly, Austin, Texas, Warren J Conolly, jr, 
Athens, and Ralph N Connally, Athens; two nieces, Mrs. Alex Well, Jr, Corpus 
Christi, Texas, and Mrs. Ray Eidson, Corpus Christi; three nephews, Richard N 
Conolly, Sidney M Conolly, both of Corpus Christi and Warren Jams Conolly, 
III, Athens.
