Davis, 72, of 124 S. Stratford Drive, died November, 13, 2000. A native and lifelong resident of Clarke County, he was a son of the late Albert Elmer and Lillie Whitworth Davis. He was preceded in death by a sister, Shirley Davis Tolbert and 2 brothers, Wade Howard Davis and Elmer Leroy Davis. He was co-founder and longtime owner of Athens Janitor Supply and a member of ISSA. Mr. Davis was a U.S. Army veteran and member of Princeton United Methodist Church. Funeral services will be Wednesday, November 15, 2000 at 2:00 PM at Lord and Stephens Chapel, East. Interment will be in Oconee Hill Cemetery. Great-nephews will serve as pallbearers. Survivors include his wife, Agnes Allen Davis; sisters, Harriette Davis Finger of Gainesville and Brenda Davis Holmes of Bishop and a number of nieces and nephews. Flowers are optional. Memorials may be made to Princeton United Methodist Church, 2390 South Lumpkin St., Athens Ga 30606. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday from 1:00 until 2:00 PM.
