Dillard, 79, will be held Tuesday morning 11 o’clock at Bridges Chapel. Mr. Dillard died Sunday at 12:50 p.m. at a local hospital after an illness of one month. The Rev. Paul Howle, pastor of First Christian Church, is to officiated assisted by the Rev. W.E. McCumber, pastor of the Nazarene Church in Thomasville, Interment will be in Oconee Hill Cemetery with Bridges Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Pallbearers will be Farris Foster, Leroy Davis, Boyd Burgess, J.W. Johnson, Printess Conaway, and Jake Ginn. Survivers (sic) include his wife, Mrs. Julia Pollard Dillard and one daughter, Mrs. O.B. of Athens; four sons, E.M. Dillard and W.P. Dillard of Athens; James W. Dillard and W.L. Dillard of Thomasville; one sister Mrs. Camie Jones of Atlanta. Mr. Dillard was a member of the First Christian Church an a native of Gwinnett county and had lived in Athens for the past 54 years. He was a carpenter by trade and had been connected with the University of Georgia for a number of years.
