Epps Obituary Contributed by Connie Epps Bond, niece. Athens Banner Herald, Athens, GA ELLIS Epps Ellis E. Epps, 58, of Route 2, Crooked Creek Road, Died Monday, May 13, 1991 A native and lifelong resident of Clarke County, Mr. Epps was a son of the Late Oscar Epps and the late Lottie Wallace Epps. He was a member of the Crooked Creek Baptist Church and was a veteran of the Korean War. He was employed by Westinghouse Corp./ABB for the past 32 years. Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday at Crooked Creek Baptist Church. The Revs. Tom Miles and Bill Carpenter will officiate. Burial will be in Evergreen Memorial Park. The body will be placed in the church at 10 a.m. Pallbearers will be Carey Marable, Tommy Bentley, Billy Shephard, Dean Stringer, Otis Clark and Larry Fielding. Survivors include his wife, Bessie Fielding Epps; a daughter, Rhonda Navas, Atlanta; two sisters, Thelma Norman, Athens, and Dorothy Dottery, Watkinsville; a brother Thomas J. Epps, Winterville; and several nieces and nephews. The family is at the residence and will received friends at Bridges Funeral Home from 7-9 tonight.
