JULIA FITZPATRICK The Banner, Friday morning, June 12, 1903 Transcribed by C. Epps Bond March 22, 2006. DOD: June 7, 1903 Mrs. Fitzpatrick Passes away Sunday afternoon at 6 o’clock at her home in East Athens, Mrs. Julia Fitzpatrick, wife of Mr. M. V. B. Fitzpatrick, died after a long illness. Mrs. Fitzpatrick leaves a husband and several brothers and sisters to mourn her death. She was consistent member of the East Athens Baptist church. The funeral of Mrs. Fitzpatrick took place Tuesday morning at that church and was conducted by Rev. Willie Saye, pastor of the church, assisted by Rev. E.D. Stone, who made touching remarks on the Christian character of the deceased. The seat in the church that had always been occupied by Mrs. Fitzpatrick while in health was draped and unoccupied at the funeral. The remains were interred in Oconee cemetery.
