ARTHUR FLATAU The Banner, Athens, Georgia, Friday morning, January 26, 1906 Transcribed by C. Epps Bond October 2, 2005 Mrs. Flatau Laid to Rest ------- Tuesday afternoon at three o’clock at the residence on Hancock avenue, in the presence of many sorrowing friends and bereaved relatives, the funeral of Mrs. Arthur Flatau was conducted. The floral tributes were many and most lovely, attesting the deep love and esteem in which the deceased was held by her many friends. Throughout the funeral services there were few dry eyes in the band of mourners present. Dr. I. Koplowitz, Rabbi of the Hebrew congregation in this city conducted the services reading the 90th Psalm and making most beautiful remarks on the life and character of the deceased. Followed by scores of sorrowing friends and relatives the remains were carried to Oconee cemetery, where they were tenderly and lovingly laid to rest.
