MRS. DAVID GANN
  Has entered rest 
Death of one of the Oldest citizens 
Of Athens yesterday 

Yesterday morning at 6 o’clock, Mrs. David Gann, aged 79 years, passed away 
after a long illness, at her home in this city. 

Mrs. Gann is survived by three children, Mr. W. H. Gann Mrs. E. S. Edge and 
Mrs. N. Hauser, Of Hartwell.  She was the grandmother of Mrs. D. d. Beussee 
and Mr. Fred Beussee, of this city. 

Mrs. Gann was highly esteemed by a large circle of friends.  She was a member 
of Oconee Street church, and as long as she was physically able, took an 
abiding interest in its welfare. 

The funeral services will be held at the residence on Foundry street, this 
morning at 11 o’clock, and will be conducted by Rev. A. J. Sears.  The 
following gentlemen will act as pall-bearers:  Messrs. R. A. Burpee, W. B. 
Head, J. P. Hall, J. H. Dorsey, L. N. Betts and B. C. Prather.
