Hugh Goodrum Jr., 81, of Athens, died Tuesday, September 12, 2006.

Mr. Goodrum taught school in Madison County for 30+ years.

Survivors include his wife, Beatrice Goodrum; sons, Timothy Goodrum and 
Norbert Goodrum; four grandchildren; one sister; and other relatives and 
friends.

Funeral services were held Saturday, September 16, at the Greater Bethel 
A.M.E. Church, Athens. Burial was at Evergreen Memorial Park, Athens.

Gardenview Funeral Chapel, Athens, was in charge of arrangements.
