MR GRAY DEAD

A prominent Yong Student passes away

Yesterday morning  the faculty and students of the University of Georgia were 
saddened by the receipt of a telegram announcing the death of Mr. O. H. Gray 
at his home in Jackson, GA. 

Mr. Gray went home to spend the Christmas holidays, was seized with a violent 
attack of pneumonia and died yesterday morning. 

He was a member of the junior class of the University and stood well in the 
different departments.  He was a member of the Phi Kappa literary society and 
one of its best orators and debaters.   In athletics he took a prominent part, 
being pitcher for his class baseball team, and being a member of track 
athletic team. 

The Alpha tau Omega fraternity, of which Mr. Gray was an enthusiastic member, 
met yesterday morning, and appointed Messrs. U. B. Phillips, L. L. Lider and 
H. R. Perkins, as a delegation to attend the funeral of Mr. Gray this morning 
at eleven o’clock at Jackson, Ga.  Dr. B. F. Riley will also attend the 
funeral. 

The exercises of the University of Georgia will be suspended this morning 
during the hour in which the funeral exercises are to be conducted.

He was a student at UGA, but diedin Jackson, GA. 
I checked for county location.  Jackson showed Butts and Lowndes both.  
Since he was in school in Clarke, I sent to all three counties.
