Only a few days before she had been attacked with pleurisy, in a violet form, and although everything possible was done that loving hands that ministered around her bedside could suggest, yet it was all unavailing, and death came to her relief as stated above. Mrs. Weatherford was about 65 years of age, and from early girlhood had been a devout and consistent member of the Methodist church, and was an earnest and active Christian. She was ever ready to give a word of encouragement to the struggling young Christian, and did not fail to rebuke the careless and impenitent and warn them of their danger. She leaves a daughter and two sons and many relatives to mourn her death. She was the mother of Mr. Wm. Weatherford, of this city, and the sister of Messrs. David and L. J. Hemrick. The funeral took place at Princeton church Friday afternoon, Rev. E. D. Stone conducting the services. A large number of relatives and sympathizing friends accompanied the remains to their lest resting place.
