Hawkins Hudson, 68, of 165 Dublin St., died Tuesday, July 7, 1992. A native of Athens, Mrs. Hudson was a graduate of Fort Valley State College and attended graduated school at the University of Georgia. She taught in the Oglethorpe and Walton County School System for 33 years. After retirement she taught at a day care center in Athens. She was a member of the East Friendship Baptist Church. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at East Friendship Baptist Church, Arch Street. The Revs. James Kendrick, Robert Calloway and Gregland Webb will officiate. Burial will be in Spaulding Cemetery. The body will be placed in the church at 10 a.m. Survivors include her husband, James Hudson; two daughters, Phyllis Davenport, Potomac, Md., and Jameia Willis, Athens; two sisters, Lillie Mae Haynes, Athens, and Bessie Hawkins, Muskegon, Mich.; two brothers, Willie Hawkins and David Hawkins, Detroit; three grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
