The Rev. Charles Wilson of St. James Methodist Church officiated at the graveside rites. Miss Jones, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Bannon Jones of Athens, died Thursday in Oakland, Calif. where she had been employed as an Alameda County social worker for the past three years. She was also a volunteer worker at the Fred finch Children's home and involved in other charitable organizations. Miss Jones earned her Education Degree at the University of Georgia. She was a member of Kappa Kappa Gamma sorority. After completing her Masters of Social Science Degree at the University of Florida, Miss Jones spent two years in a Pensacola, Fla., as a state social worker. She then went to California for one year as a counselor. Miss Jones was the granddaughter of Mrs. Delavan Salisbury of Waycross, and the late Mr. Salisbury and the late Mr. and Mrs. Walter H. Jones of Athens. Other survivors, in addition to her parents, include one sister, Mrs. Horace Stowers, Atlanta; Mrs. Aubrey Smith, Waycross; Mrs. Charles K. Woodward, Asheville, N. C.; Mrs. James Thornton, Jr., Athens; Mrs. H. D. Kenan, Winston-Salem, N. C.; Mrs. Richard Mitchell, Jr., Greenville, S. C.; Mrs. Vernon Keenan and family, Waycross; Mrs. Thomas Jackson Lowe, and family, Columbia, S. C.; Mrs. David Edward Crook, Sea Island; Mr. Harris Jones, Jr., Baltimore; and Mrs. William Barnabas McHenry, New York; Mr. Sam W. Walker, Jr., and family, Waycross.
