Mattie Lord 

MONROE: - Mattie Vickery Lord, 102, died Sunday, April 9. 

Mrs. Lord, a native of Jackson County, had lived in Athens prior to moving to 
Monroe 26 years ago.  She was a daughter of the late Tom and Lula Sanders 
Vickery, and the widow of William M. Lord.

Funeral Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Arthur Bowick Funeral Directors, 
and burial will be in Center Methodist Church Cemetery, Center. 

Survivors include four sons, Paul Lord, Monroe; Roy Lord, Nicholson; Glenn 
Lord, Winder; and John T. Lord, Union Point; two daughters, Mildred Thornton, 
Bogart, and Doris Archer, Athens; two brothers, Hoyt Vickery, Smyrna, and C. 
L.Mullinax, Hartwell; 31 grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.
