THE DEATH OF 
  MRS. M.J. MARTIN
      -------

Well Known  Lady Passed 
Away Yesterday Afternoon in this City 

Yesterday afternoon at her home on Pulaski street in this city, Mrs. M. 
J.Martin passed away after a long illness with consumption. 

Mrs. Martin was twenty-three years of age and was greatly beloved by a large 
circle of friends. 

The funeral will be held this afternoon at four o’clock at the residence and 
will be conducted by Revs. Willie Saye and W. A. Chaistain. 

The following gentlemen will act as pallbearers:  Messrs. John Totty, Fletcher 
McConnell, Vic Parnell, Ernest Veal, Emory Epps and Joe Poss.  The interment 
will be in Oconee cemetery.
