DEAD IN HER BED

Sixteen Year-Old Girl Found
Dead in Bed at Her Home
On Sunday Morning

(From Tuesday’s Banner)

Miss Iona Mote was found dead in bed at her home near the Tallassee Bridge 
Sunday morning by members of the family which which she made her home.  She 
was 16 years of age and her death is supposed to have been caused by heart 
failure. 

Her father died about a year ago, her mother died some months later. 

The deceased was a grand-daughter of Mr. N. A. Fowler.  The remains will be 
taken today to Whitehall for funeral land burial there.

##Note from Connie:  I checked the cemetery book transcriptions and did not 
see any Mote last names in there.
