CONDUCT SERVICES 
FOR MR. PARR HERE 

Funeral services were conducted Monday afternoon for Mr. Fred L. Parr, who 
died in South Carolina Saturday.  Rev. Nicholson conducted the services and 
the American Legion also took part.  The funeral was at Dorsey’s parlors. 

Mr. Parr is survived by his wife, Mrs. Willie Parr, and the following other 
relatives:  Mother, Mrs. J. H. Cornewell; a half-brother, Mr. L. F. Kenyon; 
his mother-in-law Mrs. Couch; three brothers-in-law, Messrs. Calvin and Dewey 
Couch, and L. H. Epps, and a sister-in-law Mrs. Charlie Sims, all of Athens.  
He was 36 years old.
