By the Side of His Relatives
The Services Conducted by
Dr. Walden at the Grave


The funeral of Major Marco Phinizy was conducted yesterday morning at 10 
o’clock from the Seabord Air-Lyne depot, where the remains and arrived from 
the late home of the deceased in Royston, GA. 

Quite a large number of relatives and friends followed the remains of Major 
Phinizy to their last resting place by the side of his relatives in Oconee 
cemetery. 

The pall-bearers were Messrs, R. W. Lamkin, F. A. Lipscomb, C. G. Griffith, 
H.H. Linton, J. B. King and E. R. Hodgson. 

Messrs, W. J. Morton, R. L. Bloomfield, R. L. Moss, J. R. Lyle, G. H. Palmer 
and W. B. Pruitt acted as an honorary escort. 

At the grave the regular  burial service of the Presbyterian Church was 
conducted by Rev. J. W. Walden, and the remains of Major Phinizy were 
consigned to their last resting place.
