Mrs. Prater Dead; Funeral Saturday

Mrs. Anne C. Prater, age 85, died at her apartments 1385 1/2 Prince avenue, at
7:30 p.m., Thursday after a long illness from bronchial pneumonia, and funeral
services will be held from Prospect church, on the Tallasee Road Saturday, at an
hour to be announced later.  Dorsey's funeral directors, are in charge.  The
body was removed to the home of her grandson, Mr. Frank Prater, where it will
remain until the hour of funeral.

Mrs. Prater is survived by a sister, Mrs. Susan Tomlin, of Monroe; a brother,
John L. Kenny, of Tennesee, and the following grandchildren: Frank L. and John
Prater, Misses Della, Rosa Lee and Susie Prater, of Athens, and Mrs. W. D.
Hawks, Asworth (sic).  The following neices and a nephew also survive her, Mrs.
Lula Morris, Mrs. John Lavender, Miss Florence Kenny and Cauley Wages.

She had been a member of the Methodist church since childhood, and had resided
in Athens for many years.
