Vickers RVick72827@aol.com ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Parr Banner, Athens, Georgia Friday January 20, 1843 Another Revolutionary Soldier Gone Mr. Benjamin Parr, the subject of this notice was born in Morris County, New Jersey on the 1st day of September 1760 and died at the residence of his son in Carrollton, Carroll County, Georgia on the 22nd day of December last. Mr. Parr was well known in this community as an honest, upright man. He had been for many years an orderly member of the Baptist Church in which fellowship he lived and death sounded the retreat from the troubles and sorrows of this world, and his spirit took its flight to the brighter worlds above. He has left a numerous train of relatives and friends to mourn his departure, but we trust our loss is his eternal gain.
