ALPHA T. RICE

 

   Alpha T. Rice, 80, 1165 Hull Road, died Wednesday, July 10.

   A native of Woodruff, S.C., Mrs. Rice was a daughter of the late Darwin
Trammell and the late Etta Marler Trammell.  A retired textile worker, she was
married to the late James E. Rice and a member of Hull Baptist Church.

   Funeral services were at 9 p.m. today at Hull Baptist Church.  The Rev. Bobby
Jones and Dr. Roy Crowe officiated.  Burial was in Evergreen Memorial Park.

   Survivors include a son, Walter E. Rice, Jefferson; a daughter, Brenda R.
Hardeman, Winterville; two sisters, Agnes Knox and Eloise Chesney, both of
Woodruff, S.C.; eight grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and several nieces
and nephews.

   Lord and Stephens Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
