ROBERTSON DIED SUNDAY NIGHT, Death Came as a Result Of Rheumatism of The Heart Sunday night at eight o’clock at his home on Milledge avenue, Mr. James W. Robertson passed away after a brief illness with rheumatism of the heart. He had been feeling badly for several days, but his death came sooner than was thought. Mr. Robertson was a popular and well known young man, and for several years had successfully conducted a marble business in this city. He had many friends who sincerely mourn his death. The funeral services were conducted Monday afternoon at three o’clock by Dr. J. W. Walden, pastor of the Presbyterian church. The choir consisting of Mrs. J.M. Hodgson, Mrs. J. W. Barnett and Mr. Jack Hart, sang sweetly the songs, “How Firm a Foundation,” and “Abide With Me.”. The casket was born to the hearse by the pallbearers, Messrs. B. O. Turner, R. L. Moss, Jr., H. J. Rowe, G. A. Bailey, Robert Washburn and Ernest Potts. The services at the grave in Oconee Cemetery were conducted by officers and members of St. Elmo Lodge, Knights of Pythias, of which the deceased was a member.
