Sudden Death
     Rev. F. S. HUDSON was called to Athens by telegram Tuesday, to attend the 
burial of his sister, who died suddenly. She retired in her usual health the 
night before, but was found dead in bed by her horrified husband next morning. 
It was a sad bereavement, and Brother Hudson has the sympathy of our people.
     The Athens Banner gives the following account of the sad occurrence:
     “Yesterday morning when Mr. Hoyt Saye, of East Athens, awoke, he was 
horrified to find his wife cold in death.
     Mrs. Saye had retired the night previous in apparently good health, and at 
some hour during the night, had without a moment’s warning passed from earthly 
sleep to that sleep that knows no waking.
     It was indeed a heartrending night when Mr. Saye first realized the sad 
misfortune that had befallen him.
     The cause of the sudden death was no doubt some disease of the heart.
     Mrs. Saye was a Miss Hudson and came originally from near Gainesville. She 
was sister of one of the leading ministers of the North Georgia Methodist 
Conference.
     Mrs. Saye leaves a husband and eight children to mourn her death, and to 
them the heartfelt sympathies of a host of friends go out.
     The deceased had for a number of years been a member of the Methodist 
Church, and the funeral services will be conducted today by Rev. Miles H. 
Dillard, pastor of Oconee Street Church.
