OBITUARY OF JAMES M. SYKES
The Athens Banner Herald, Friday, March 13, 1931

SYKES – The relatives and friends of Mr. James M. Sykes, Mrs. F. E. Potter, 
Miss Nancy Sykes, Miss Ethel Sykes, Mr. R. W. Sykes, of Bogart, GA; Mrs. Allen 
McFadden of Birmingham, Ala., Mr. and Mrs. W. D. Cobb, of Lumberton, Miss, and 
Mr. and Mrs. Joe M. Sykes of this city, are invited to attend the funeral of 
Mr. James m. Sykes Saturday afternoon, March 14th, 1931, at three (3:00) 
o’clock p.m. from the Bogart Baptist church.  Rev. J. H. grizzle, pastor, will 
officiate. The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers:  Messrs. R. B. 
Wages, Mr. A. B. Barnett, Mr. W. B. Moore, Mr. E. W. Jackson, Mr. H. C. 
Barnett and Mr. F. L. Jackson.  Interment will be in the Bogart cemetery.  
McDorman-Bridges.
