THE DEATH OF 
   MRS. JOHN TOTTY 

Monday night at eleven o’clock at her home in Sandy Creek District, a few 
miles from the city, Mrs. John Totty, Jr., passed away after a very brief 
illness. 

Mrs. Totty had been in usual health all day Monday.  Monday night she was 
seized with a convulsion and died in a few minutes. 

Mrs. Totty was a most estimable young matron and her death will cause much 
sorrow among all who knew her.  The funeral was conducted Wednesday at two 
o’clock at the Center Methodist church by Rev. E.  D. Stone, of this city.
