Towe, Bertie 

Mrs. Bertie Towe 

Mrs. Bertie L. Towe, 57, of near Watkinsville died today in a local hospital 
following an illness of several days. 

A native of Hall County, she was daughter of the late Mr.and Mrs. Leonard 
Whitfield.  She had lived in Oconee County the past seven years. 

Funeral services will be at 3 p.m. Sunday at Whitehall Baptist Church with the 
Rev. Curtis Hammond officiating.  Burial will be in the church cemetery. 

She is survived by her husband,  James g. Towe;  five sons, Bennie and Bobby 
Towe, Watkinsville, Harvey Towe, Farmington, Leonard D. Towe, Florida, and 
Harrison D. Towe, Colbert; 10 grandchildren; and a number of nieces and 
nephews. 

The body will be at the residence after 4:30 p.m. today.  Bridges Funeral Home 
is in charge of arrangements.
