The immediate cause of her death was the formation of an abscess on her lungs. This, the physician thinks, was due to the muddy water which was swallowed by the young lady at the time of her narrow escape from drowning. She was, at first, taken with pneumonia but recovered sufficiently to be able to walk out on the porch. Her lungs began to give her trouble, a day or so ago, and the affliction rapidly advanced terminating in her death at 5 o'clock yesterday morning. Miss Wages leaves a mother, brother and two sisters. She was 23 years of age. Her mother, Mrs. James Wages, and her sister, Miss Ida Wages, were with her at the time of her death. The funeral will be conducted from Prospect church in Jackson county today at 10 o'clock. The death of this young lady is one which will cause much sorrow among her friends by whom she was much admired for her many excellent traits of character.
