The floral tributes were many and beautiful and attested the love and esteem in which the deceased was held. The funeral services were conducted by R. v. A. B. Reeves, who had just returned from Florida. The beautiful hymns rendered by the choir, were “Asleep in Jesus,” “Morning Land,” “Sometime We’ll Understand,” and “Some sweet Day.” The casket was born to the hearse by the pallbearers, Messrs, A. H. Davison, J. C. Hutchins, T. L. Abney, O. D. Cox, W.H. Kytle and E. H. Dorsey. The remains were tenderly and lovingly laid to rest in Oconee Cemetery. Transcribed by C. Epps Bond March 24, 1902.
