Submitted by: Sue Meinhart suemeinhrt@aol.com ------------------------------------------------------------------------- William Mitchell WILL BOOK A, p150-150A, Clarke County, Georgia dated 10 May 1815 & probated 6 May 1822 I William Mitchell of the County of Clark and State of Georgia being of sound mind and memory but Knowing it is appointed for all men once to die, do make this my Last Will and testament in manner and form following that is to say-- 1st - After my death and burial I desire all my personal property to be equally divided into Six equal parts and Distributed in the following manner, to wit, My Son Thomas one part, my two Grand Sons William Letcher Mitchell and Walter Mitchell children and heirs of my Son William Desceased, one part, my three Daughters Elizabeth Smith, Nancy Green, and Rachel Neisler one part each and the other Sixth part to be left in the possion of my Executors herein after named and by them to be lent to my Daughter Sarah Smith for Such times and on Such conditions as my Said Executors may deem most advisable and after the death of my Said daughter Sarah Smith to be equally divided among her children as they become of Lawfull age. 2nd - I desire my Landed property to be sold and the money to be divided as above pointed out for my personal estate leaving out my son Thomas, he having Received his part of my Land by Deed----- 3rd - I desire my grand Sons aforesaid William L. and Walter Mitchell to be educated out of my estate as far as reading writing and Arithmatic and at a convenient age, I desire that they be bound to Some good industrious frugal Machanic to Learn by art or trade---- Lastly, I do hereby constitute and appoint my Son Thomas Mitchell and my Son in Law, Hugh Neisler Executors of this my last Will and testament, hereby revoking all other or former Wills or testaments by me heretofore made, In witness where of I have hereunto Set my hand and affixed my Seal this 10th day of May 1815.
