Johnson john@bridgebs.com February 27, 2008, 1:00 pm The Fuller Family Bible I received the bible from my mother, Jewell Catherine Torbert Johnson. She received the bible from her mother, Lenora Ida Bell Torbert, who got it from her mother (my ggrandmother), Jane Fuller Bell. I believe the bible was originally the bible of Jane Fuller’s father Walton William Fuller. The American Bible Society, in New York, published the bible in 1848. The entries in the Family Records section are in several different handwritings. The Family Record section of the bible is divided into three parts. The first section is Marriages. It shows: W. W. Fuller and Esther Parker Was married on Feb. 9th, 1832 James Bell and Jane P. Fuller Was married on Sept. 9th, 1852 (Early County) Moses Joiner and Elizabeth A. Fuller Was married on March 10th, 1856 The second section is Births: W. W. Fuller Was born July 30th, 1807 Esther Parker, daughter of John Parker and his wife Rachael Was born on Nov. 12th, 1809 Jane P. Fuller, daughter of W. W. and Esther Fuller Was born on Nov. 19th, 1832 Elizabeth A. Fuller Born March 12th, 1834 W. W. Fuller, Jr. Born Jan. 17th, 1835 Emily A. Fuller Born Feb. 9th, 1838 Sarah R. Fuller Was born June 16th, 1840 John P. Fuller Was born Feb. 13th, 1844 Esther A. A. Fuller Was born Sept. 1st, 1845 Julia Fuller Was born July 16th, 1847 Z. J. Fuller Was born Sept. 30th, 1848 (Zachariah) Pawlean Fuller Was born June 20, 1851 The third section of the Bible is Deaths. Most of the Fuller family members shown in this bible are buried in Wesley Chapel Methodist Cemetery. It reads: Julia Fuller Departed this life July 16th, 1847 Pawlean Fuller, daughter of W. W. and Esther Fuller, Departed this life May 6th, 1853 Esther Fuller, born Nov. 12th, 1809 Died January 31st, 1885 W. W. Fuller, born July 30th, 1807 Died June 28th, 1894 Rachael Fuller Departed this life July 1st, 1901 Emily A. Fuller Died April 1st, 1905 Esther Fuller Died May 10th, 1914 James Bell Died November 8, 1887 Jane Bell, born Nov. 19th, 1832 Died May 30th, 1910 Jessie Monroe Bell Born Nov. 5, 1873 Died Sept. 10, 1936 Written in pencil at the top of the page beginning the New Testament is: Will Parker, brother of Esther Parker, Sumter County.
