[Footstone?] JUDETH Consort of ELIAS LEE Born May 26, 1782 Died July 2, 1843 [Headstone] ELIAS Son of SAMSON LEE Born Aug 11, 1780 Died Nov 8, 1842 [Headstone] SACRED to the memory of PERSIS McELVY [Large marker over raised rock grave--- broken into pieces] she departed [this life?] Dec. 15, 1852 aged 46 years From her early piety she became a member of the Baptist Church and died with a full hope of Glory NOTES: 1)There are "rocks" which appear to mark other graves, possibly those of slaves. 2)In 1982, Mr. Berryman Harrison, long-time resident of the area and living near the cemetery, stated that in earlier years the cemetery had other rocks that marked graves and also that some headstone markers may have been destroyed when a bulldozier was working clearing the nearby area for a pond. 3) Joseph Lee headstone was removed from the cemetery abt 1983 by someone & may or may not have been returned. 4) I have a diagram and photographs of the stones, if anyone is interested. 5) Layout: "Rows" informal Row 1) l-r A.L, J.
