PROSPECT SCHOOL HOUSE   1885

Clay Co GA Deed Bk F 1887-1893, p47

State of Georgia, Clay County}  This indenture made the 7th day of February
in the year of our Lord Eighteen hundred and eighty five, Between A S Mills
of the aforesaid State and County and George Collins, Andrew Sanders of
Calhoun Ct and John Killingsworth of the County of Clay as Trustee of
Prospect Shoolhouse  [Schoolhouse] of the Second part and the Trustees that
succeed them hereafter, Witnesseth that the said A S Mills doth grant and
convey and alien to the aforesaid Trustees and their successors ½ acre of
lot land No 344, Where Prospect Schoolhouse now stands, Bounded on the South
by the Fort Gaines and Newton roads  on the West by lands belonging to John
Killingsworth Running 34 yds from John Killingsworth East and 70 yds North
Containing half acre lying and being in lying in the 4th district of
originally Early county, now Clay county.  To have and to hold the said
Lands with all the rights and members and appertainances to the Benefit of a
School House in Fee Simple and the said A S Mills the said Land sunto the
said Trustees and their successors will forever warrant and defend the
rights and title of the above described lands against himself, heirs,
executors and all other persons claiming, in witness whereof the said A S
Mills hath hereunto set his hand and affixed his seal the day and year above
written.
