Paul Scaife

CUTHBERT 
Paul Scaife, 89, of Ft. Gaines died Monday, January 28, 2002, at the Ft. Gaines 
Nursing Home.

The graveside funeral will be at 2 p.m. today at New Park Cemetery in Ft. Gaines. 
The Rev. Jack Taylor will officiate.

Mr. Scaife was born October 13, 1912, in Clay County, son of the late Jesse Greene 
Scaife and Ethel Weaver Scaife. He was a retired claims manager for Etna Insurance 
Company, was a lawyer, having graduated from Atlanta Law School and was a member 
of the Ft. Gaines United Methodist Church. Mr. Scaife was an avid golfer and was 
an Army veteran of World War II.

Survivors include his wife, Marcia Forshag Scaife, of Ft. Gaines; two daughters, 
Betty S. Rose and Linda S. Brune, both of Marietta; one granddaughter and one 
great-granddaughter.

Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
