Family-Placed Death Notice

Richard Watson Best, 89 of West Palm Beach, FL. died Thursday, July 21, 2005. 
He is preceded in death by his wife of 48 years, Elizabeth Holland Best, a 
brother, Tom Best and two sisters, Mildred Best Snellings and Tieney Best 
Coleman. Mr. Best served in the US Air Force during World War Two, and was a 
graduate of the University of Georgia School of Law and practiced law in 
Atlanta for 50 years. He represented Clay County in the Georgia House of 
Representatives in the early 1950's. Mr. Best is survived by a son and 
daughter in law, Richard and Cathy Best of Fond du Lac, Wisc., a daughter and 
son in law, Liz Best and Lannis Waters of West palm Beach, four grandchildren, 
Joseph and Thomas Best of Fond du Lac, and Martha and Alice Waters of West 
Palm Beach, a sister, Trudy Best Harden of Naples, FL, a brother, Bo Chambers 
of Atlanta; two brothers in law, James Edgar Coleman of Ft. Gaines and John K. 
Snellings of Atlanta, a sister in law, Gera H. Goode of Missoula, Mont., and 
many loving nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, 
July 26, 2005, 10:30 a.m. at the Ft. Gaines United Methodist Church with 
burial to follow in New Park Cemetery in Ft. Gaines. In lieu of flowers, the 
family asks that donations be made to Hospice of Palm Beach County, FL.
