Patrick Houston Clayton Patrick Houston Clayton, 79, of Ft. Gaines, GA, died 
March 14, 2011 at his residence. Graveside funeral services will be held 
Wednesday, March 16, 2011, at 2 p.m. EDT at New Park Cemetery in Ft. Gaines 
with the Rev. Mickael Whitt officiating. Mr. Clayton was born November 8, 
1931, in Seminole County, GA, son of the late Jesse Truman Clayton and the 
late Rhoda King Freeman. He was a retired A/C Inspector at Ft. Rucker with 35 
years of service, a U.S. Navy Veteran, a member of the International 
Association of Machinists, a member of Masonic Lodge 115 in Colquitt, GA, and 
a Baptist. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Michael 
Steven Clayton; a daughter, Cynthia Clayton Hodnett and two sisters, Lois C. 
Cloud and Betty Smith. Survivors include his wife Joyce Knight Clayton of Ft. 
Gaines; a son, Donald Keith (Alexandria) Clayton of Ashville, NC; a daughter, 
Melanie Anita Clayton (Vernon) McKnight of Newton, AL; and a daughter-in-law, 
Rebecca Clayton fo Ashford, AL; nine grandchildren and two great-
grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews. Lunsford Funeral Home of 
Cuthbert, GA, (229) 732-2148, is in charge of arrangements
