M. Brooks, who was ill at our last writing, passed away last Thursday, at about 4 o'clock in the afternoon. Everything was done for her that tender hands could do. She was a consistent member of the Primitive Baptist church and the funeral was held at Mars Hill, Friday, by Rev. Spurlock. We hope and believe she has got a part in the first resurrection, where death has no sting. Those who knew her best loved her most. Rest, sweet, rest." [She is buried at Mars Hill Cemetery, Calhoun Co, Ga. llh]
